Backend and cloud engineering
The backend is where your business rules live. We design APIs with clear boundaries, connect them to the systems you already run, and deploy them on the cloud that fits your organization, so they keep working as traffic and requirements grow.
The tools
APIs, integrations and cloud infrastructure on Node.js, Python, AWS, Azure and GCP.
Node.js
TypeScript on the server, sharing types with the frontend. We use it for REST APIs, real-time WebSocket services and background jobs.
Python
Our choice for data processing, automation and AI work: LLM integrations, retrieval pipelines (RAG) and document extraction, with FastAPI when an API is needed.
AWS
Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS and API Gateway, with IAM policies that give each service only the access it needs.
Azure
A natural fit for organizations on Microsoft 365 and .NET: App Service, Functions, Azure SQL and Entra ID for single sign-on.
GCP
Cloud Run, Cloud SQL and BigQuery for containerized services and analytics, plus Vertex AI when a project needs Google's models.
How we work with them
Contract-first API design
OpenAPI specifications, versioning and consistent error formats, so frontend and partner teams can build in parallel with the backend.
Secure by default
Authentication and authorization on every endpoint, validated input, secrets kept out of the code, and dependencies scanned for known vulnerabilities.
Cloud cost control
Resources sized to real usage, managed and serverless services where they cost less to run, and budgets with alerts so the monthly bill holds no surprises.
Observability
Structured logs, metrics and traces from day one, with alerts on the signals that matter, so problems are found before users report them.
